Celebrating the start of Cozumel's annual Carnaval!

Last night, visitors from all over the world flooded into downtown Cozumel to participate in Carnaval, a week long festival celebrating the destination's rich traditions and culture. As one of the Cozumels’s most popular family-friendly traditions, Carnaval offers five days of fun including exciting parades, colorful floats, traditional regional foods, music and dancing.

“Carnaval is Cozumel’s grandest celebration. It focuses on family and tradition and is unlike any other festival of its kind,” said Raul Marrufo, director of the Cozumel Tourism Promotion Board. “It’s the perfect time for families and travelers from all walks of life to visit the island. They can learn about the true spirit of Cozumel while enjoying all the different and exciting festivities taking place for Carnaval. Cozumel’s Carnaval festival provides an unforgettable vacation experience for any traveler.”

Cancun's Carlos 'n Charlie's is back in business

Cancun's immensely popular restaurant, Carlos 'n Charlie's, is back and better than ever. Following repairs to damage caused by Hurricane Wilma, the restaurant re-opened January 20th, and has plans to reopen its Cozumel location by the end of February.
